Low Back Pain

Low back pain has multiple causes, many of which are discussed in detail in other sections of this website. It is primarily musculoskeletal (Tendinitis, bursitis, trigger points) in nature and can be acute or short term or chronic, lasting three months or more. In the US, back pain has been found to be the most common cause of absenteeism at work and is the main condition that creates job-related disability. Symptoms can range from minor twinges of pain to inability to walk.
