Musculoskeletal Pain (Tendinitis, Bursitis, Trigger Points)

Musculoskeletal pain affects the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments and nerves and can be characterized by tenderness, stiffness, localized or widespread pains and aches, as well as muscle burning and fatigue. Among its causes are injury, repetitive motion and poor posture. It is diagnosed by a thorough history taken by a physician and imaging studies. Treatments for musculoskeletal pain include anti-inflammatory medications, immobilization, orthotics, activity modification and cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as injectional treatments such as trigger point and bursa injections.
