Minimally Invasive Lumbar Fusion (Percutaneous Fusion)

The minimally invasive fusions and surgeries are procedures used to alleviate pain from a motion segment in the spine and are performed through smaller incisions that lead to less muscle and ligament injury. Special retractors are used in order for the surgeon to obtain the appropriate view of the anatomy. This type of fusion can lead to less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery times.
