Hard Cervical Collars

Hard cervical collars are worn around the neck and are used to support the spine and prevent motion after a cervical spine procedure or when there is a spinal fracture. These types of collars are generally worn 24 hours-a-day. You may be allowed to take the collar off to shower. However, all other daily activities must be performed while wearing the collar. One of the most important attributes to a hard collar is that it completely supports your head so that your spine can heal properly. Your doctor will recommend the most appropriate collar for your injury to ensure a healthy recovery.
